Neuquén and back again

Heeeeeeeeeelllllllloooooooo there everybody! How are you doooooing?

Everything is just dandy here in the best mountain-tourist city of the beautiful mate-sipping country of Argentina. This week was kind of rough- we didn´t have a lot of time in our area, and when we were here, nobody else was home, so that was great!

Everything was going normally this week until Wednesday during lunch, when one of the assistants sent us a text, letting us know that we would have the leadership council the next morning in Neuquén. In case you might have forgotten, Neuquén is about 6 hours away from Bariloche. So we left that night on a bus at around midnight to get there for the meeting. But, there was a ton of snow and ice on the highway that goes to Neuquén, that they stopped us multiple times to clean the roads and make it possible for the bus to go by. We were stopped on the highway for about 4 or 5 hours in total. When we did start moving, it was about 30 miles per hour, so it during a 6 hour trip into about 13. Imagine driving for Las Vegas to Provo, but it takes double the time. That´s what we had the wonderful opportunity to experience. We got to the meeting two hours later, casually walked in while everybody was watching a video and President was giving a presentation. So that was great. After it was all over, we ate some Burger King at the mall, and took another bus at midnight to get back to Bariloche at around 8:30, thrown straight back into the swing of things. Love my life.

The leadership meeting was actually super good though. We learned a lot (from the parts when we were actually there) and saw a lot of good mission buddies.

We´re having a good time helping the two new district leaders we have in the zone. They-re both nwe district leaders, and so we have a lot of opportunities to help them and give them advice, and it-s crazy to see how much they´ve progressed already in this one week.

Our investigator Katarina is progressing, slowly but surely. She has a baptismal date for the 6th of August, so we-re doing everything we can to make sure that happens. Everythings going great!

Love you all!

It finally snowed! The first two picture are the first ten seconds we actually enjoyed it. And then the last one explains itself
