new things

Hello family!!

This week was good, there were a lot of changes, lots of new things. The biggest news of the week ws the worldwide missionary transmission that we had on Wednesday. It was super good and lots of things were discussed. Thee was a lot of review of the transmission that took place last year, and it was super good, I liked it a lot. We also got a new schedule! Now we have the mornings until 10 to study personally, get ready, exercise, and plan, in the order that we want, and then do a 30 minutes companionship study at whatever point in the day that we feel is the most efficient. At night we have time to reflect on the day, write in our journal, and sleep earlier if we want! So far it's been going pretty well, I like it a lot. The also took out some of the key indicators, and now we only have inv baptized and confirmed, inv in church, inv with a baptismal date, and new inv. It helps us focus a lot more on what is really important- finding prepared people that will keep commitments, be converted, and be baptized. It's going to be great.

Other than that, we also now have a third companion again! It's a new missionary that was already in our zone, but his trainer had to go to a different zone, so now he's with us! It's always interesting to be in trio, and it's weird to be training again, but it's fun. It should only be with us till the end of the transfer and then get a new trainer, but we'll see how things turn out. This is the last week of the transfer, so I could be in a new area next week, but we'll find out soon enough. Our investigator Ida was in Cipoletti this week with a relative that was in the hospital, and then she went to Neuquén for a birthday party, so we still haven't seen her this whole week, but hopefully we'll be able to talk to her soon, she's great.

Other than that, I'm doing well, love you all have a great week!

todo muy hot

This week it was HOT. And they say that it's only going to get get worse this week, so that's great.

Other than that, everything's great! To be honest, this week went by super quick, and there's not that many new exciting things that happened to write about. Our investigators are progressing well. Ida came to church yesterday! All the Relief Society sisters talked to her and made her feel welcome, so that was great. She's doing well, hopefully she'll be able to get baptized this week. If she doesn't do it this week, for sure the next. She understanda almost everything already, and is very prepared.

We've also been working a lot with Francisco, who is the boyfriend of a less-active, I think I've talked about him before. We have taught him quite a few times in my time here in Plottier, but he never really took the next step to progress. But Perla(the less-active)'s mom moved back here to Plottier, and she is an amazing member and is helping us a ton. The have a lot more ganas to do things right, and they also got engaged! We don't know when they'll get married, but we're hoping soon. We've been teaching them a lot lately, and things are going well, we're trying to help him gain his own testimony, because he relies on Perla a lot.

Other than that, things are pretty normal here on the farm. Not too much exciting to report, doing well with my comp, having a good time. Love you all! Have a great week!

Hello!

We had a pretty good week!

Not too much to report, but a couple very exciting things did happen.

First of all, our third companion Elder Salgado, finished his mission and went home this week. It was a good week, we were able to get a lot done, and we learned a lot. It's always interesting to her the counsels of missionaries that are about to go home, and learn from them Elder Salgado was a good friend that had a lot of success in his mission, I'm thankful for the short time I was able to work with him.

On Friday, we had a conference with president with the other zone in Neuquén, and it was really nice. We talked more about commitment, inviting perople to come to church, and how we can continue speaking with everyone and improving our abilities to do the such. We had a good time, and it was nice to seem some familiar faces.

Other than that, the biggest report of the week is that we found an amazing new investigador that fell our of the sky. We got a text message during the week with a referral of an investigator that is the sister of a member who lives in Mendoza, Argentina. We passed by to teach her, and she is super prepared. She has already gone to church a bunch of times with her sister in Mendoza, and the ward over there even gave her a Book of Mormon and a copy of the Gospel Principles manual. She had already read some of it, and was super excited to see us. She said that she had been wondering if one day we were going to show up at her house. We taught the first lesson to her and a couple of her family members that were there, and they loved it. She was super excited, and accepted a baptismal date for the 28th of this month! We went by again and taught about the Plan of Salbation, and she told us that a couple years ago she lost her husband, and had really been missing him. Being able to teach her and give her the hope of being able to see her husband again after this life was a fantastic experience, one of those things that really make you treasure the mission. She was going to come to church, and we're not actually ery sure why she didn't come, we haven't been able to communicate with her, but she's super ready and excited.

Other than that, a pretty normal week out here in the fields and farms of Southern Argentina. Love you all, have a great week!

And then there were three

Everything's great here

This week was pretty great! Things went well, quite a few interesting things happened, so I'll start from the beginning.

This week we have been working hard to find new investigators and get some good progressing investigators. We had that girl from the flia Jurado that wasn't a member and we went by and taught her a couple of days ago and we had another cita to go back, but they called and told us that their parents decided to go to another church, and they're not quite sure if they're going to go there with their parents. Overall, they told us that we shouldn't pass by, and they'll let us know when we can come by. Heart broken. But we invited them to read and pray to know what they should do, not just what their parents want them to do, so hopefully things turn out.

On Tuesday, things were all normal, then President called us and asked about two new elders that were doing whitewash and looking for a pension and living in the pension of other missionaries for the time. He sounded worried about the new missionary from Utah that lived with them, but said everything was fine. That night we found out that the office came and picked up that companionship and put them in another area until the office finds an apartment for them in their other area. And the zone begins to get smaller.

We also had consejo on Thursday, which was super good. We talked about speaking with everyone and increasing our desires to share the gospel in every moment, and it was nice. We were uplifted and excited to go train the zone. Afterwards, President told us that a different elder in our zone that was supposed to train a newbie that was going to come this next week wasn't going to be able to traing because his newbie got sick and couldn't come to the mission. There was also another missionary in the zone that was having a hard time because he doesn't speak spanish very well and his comp doesn't speak any english and he was depressed, and so President changed him to a different zone with two gringos, and the other missionary that was going to train went to be companions with the other trainer. And now, the missionary that was with this missionary that was going to train, is with us! Elder Salgado from Cordoba. He already finishes his mission, he goes home on Friday, so it's just a short time, but we'0re with him! It's going well, we're having a good time.

The rest of the week was pretty normal, we couldn't find John and Florencia that had a baptismal date, we think they went out of town, and so they couldn't come to church, but we've been finding some good people, so things are looking up! I love you all thanks for the support!

changes

Hello family!!

Everything is great here in Plottier! This week was kind of crazy and HOT but good.

On Monday we talked to Claudia about her baptism on Thursday, and she said that they were going to go on vacation this Thursday. We had alreday pushed back the fecha a lot and she was already ready, so we moved it to this wednesday! She was super excited and we finished teaching everything. They are amazing.

On Tuesday, we taught another family that has been coming to church, the one that showed up at the end of sacrament meeting a couple weeks ago, that I think I already told you guys about. We taught them, her entire family came to church last week, and we put a fecha for the 21st! They're great, but they're from the other ward here in Plottier, and we got new missionaries there this week, so they're tecahing them now. We also had the interview for Claudia, and transfers! We thought everything was going to stay the same, but Elder Jensen went to my old area in Bariloche! He was super excited because he still hadn't been to the mountains in his mission, but worried because we had a baptism the next day. He called President that night, and got permission to stay one more night to be there for the baptism. We also found out the transfers for the rest of the zone, and they put all the areas that were here when I got to Plottier and more! In total there's 5 companionship doing whitewash(when neither of the missionaries have been in the area before) and three new missionaries!

On Wednesday we went and welcomed all the new missionaries to the zone, then had to go back for lunch, started filling up the font, and went backto get my comp! My new companion is Élder Martinez from Buenos Aires! He's great, super funny, we get along well. We're going to have a great transfer. That night we had the baptism, and t was fantastic. She was so happy, and her husband was able to baptize her. I wish I had pictures, but I couldn't get them from my old comp before he left.

The rest of the week we were here with my new comp, showing him around the area, finding a couple people to teach and having a good time! It's a change to be with a latino again, maybe a little more difficult, but it's going to be good, I'm excited. We had taught another family that was going to come to church, but at thelast minute they said the couldn't because they had gone to the river or something like that. But this next week everything's going to be great!

I love you all, have a great week!
